Annie teaches Conquering Lion Yoga, which combines inner and outer methods--using the breath, the physical body, the subtle body and the mind together--to create phenomenal personal results. Her teaching is also inspired by her experience with Tibetan Heart Yoga and Anusara Yoga.
Conquering Lion Yoga is a method which maintains that the goal of yoga is nothing less than the wish to reach Enlightenment for the sake of every living being as outlined in the traditional yogic texts. One beautiful way we gain this wish is through our yoga practice: using the breath, the body and the mind together to reach that sacred goal. Pursued sincerely over time, the wish is born in the heart of the practitioner. Expect to sweat in the name of love!
Tibetan Heart Yoga works from the inside with meditation and intention, as well as from the outside with asana and pranayama. By practicing this way, practitioners learn how to “yoke” themselves to their ultimate potential. Practitioners begin to understand how thoughts create their world, and how they can manifest their deepest aspirations by applying this wisdom.
Anusara Yoga emphasizes an elegant set of alignment principles for physical well being and a life-affirming, heart-centered philosophy that recognizes the intrinsic goodness in all people and all things.
Annie teaches public classes and offers private instruction in New York City.
